I personally have nothing against to 2010s animations which means animations that are made in 2010 throughout 2020. What I like about it is there's animes like My Hero Academia, Black Butler (Although, Black Butler was close to be 2010s.It was made in 2008) and BNA: Brand New Animal. Animated feature films like Zootopia, Hotel Transylvania and Wreck-It Ralph. The reboots are the best part in modern western animations. There's best reboots like 2017 Ducktales, 2020 Animaniacs, 2013 Mickey Mouse Shorts, 2015 New Looney Tunes and 2011 Thundercats. Don't forget successfull full length revivals like Rocko's Modern Life: Static Cling and Invader Zim: Enter The Florpus.
There's a head's up it might contain my personal opinions on these cartoons. If you like these cartoons or if your cartoons aren't favorites. That's ok and please don't take it too seriously. I'm just biased about these shows.
My personal opinions about these cartoons:
The Amazing of World of Gumball- I appreciate this cartoon for being creative, clever and hilarious with a good old dose of surreal humor and some retro aesthetic.
Gravity Falls- I found this cartoon to be OK. The mysteries in this show are imaginative like there's mythical creatures throughout supernatural beings.
We Bare Bears- Ditto. However it was a cute cartoon about three bears satirizing modern day culture.
Regular Show- I'm indifferent with this show. Don't get me wrong! I like surreal humor and retro aesthetics. Although, I think this show is a meh.
The Loud House- Same thing as Regular Show. Except, I found this art style of the characters a little too strange for my taste
My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic- I used be a bit of a brony when I was at high school. Nowadays, I personally think this cartoon is meh for me. But, my little sisters loves this show. Yes my sisters are five in a half and eight years old.
Phineas and Ferb- This cartoon was closely made in the 2010s which it was released around 2009. I used love this cartoons when I was eight years old because I found this show better than these lousy Disney Channel sitcoms. As I grew older, I still appreciate Phineas and Ferb to be creative and clever as well.
Rick and Morty- I used to like this show when I was at high school for it's creativity. As I became older, I don't like it anymore! I found this show to be way too proud of it's dark sense of humor that it seeks too much attention from the audiences that it gets overwhelmingly pretentious. Like how the audiences think Ricky and Morty's philosophies are edgy and smart.
I do understand some people out there likes this show and that's ok! I'm very biased about this show! It's just I don't like it how it's smug and brash.
Steven Universe- I had watched this show one time before and thought it was ok. When looking back on it. I'm personally not a big fan of this show. I found Steven Universe to be too nice, girly and bubbly. The art style in this show looks Tumblr appeal. While I have nothing against to cartoons with good messages about love and compassion. I love Thundercats and Captain Planet. But, Steven Universe isn't my cup of tea at all! Again! I know many people out there likes show and that's fine! I didn't want to trash every modern animations. Fun fact: the creator behind this show name, "Rebecca Sugar" is a fan of Invader Zim. I personally think Invader Zim is better than Steven Universe.
Teen Titans Go- I know! I know! Many people does not like this show and I can understand why. I agree that this show can be immature, pandering and sometimes receiving bad messages to children. The only redeemable quality is the movie is better than the show itself. I'm not much of original Teen Titans person as a kid. I grew up with the original Ben 10 and Alien Force the most.
Thundercats Roar- I loathed it! I'm glad it was already cancelled! Thank goodness! I prefer the original Thundercats or 2011 Thundercats any days over this garbage 2020 reboot! I heard that creator behind modern Godzilla movies is about to create a better Thundercats reboot which it's going to be in live action and I hope it's going to be a good movie.
